Nolita

North of Little Italy, or NoLita, was coined in the 1990s to give the up-and-coming area more cache. It has since attracted a young and trend-setting upwardly-mobile clientele of artists and professionals who have also gravitated toward its neighboring Little Italy. Within recent years, boutiques, galleries, cafes and nightclubs have sprung up, as have several mid-size apartment buildings.
